I Can't Find My Machine...!
Machine Identification
We often receive enquiries looking for parts for e.g a Briggs 675 mower, but this is the engine and not the machine.
Apart from machines manufactured by Honda, the engine drawings and machine drawings, particularly on lawnmowers, will nearly always be different. Manufacturers simply purchase engines from the engine manufacturers and place them on their various models.
There will be an id sticker on the mower itself with the mower model name, article number, serial number and year of manufacture. You can use these details to search for the parts drawings for the mower itself. If the manufactuer has used their own engine, the machine and engine drawings will be together.
If you have a Briggs & Stratton engine, the drawings will be separate to the machine drawings and the engine will have its own identification details. You will need those to find the parts drawings for the engine, example below:
The best way to find parts for your machine, is to go to the Parts by Diagram pages and to select the brand (manufacturer) of your machine.
Then scroll down and choose the type of machine you have, e.g Petrol Lawnmowers.
From there, you can select the model name of your machine on your id sticker and then the year of manufacture, should there be more than one set of drawings.
You can then click on the drawing you want to look at and zoom in if required to identify the part/s you require. THey can be added to a shopping basket, by either using the 'hotspot' feature when you click on the part in the drawing, or by using the 'To Basket' button against the part you require in the parts listing to the side, or below the drawings.
Should there be a part listed, but no 'To Basket' button, this usually indicates the part is obsolete, but we will be happy to double check if you would like to send us the part number via the Contact Us system.
Similar to Parts by Diagram, in finding the machine by selecting the brand, type and model of machine, but the resulting page will show you all of the parts in the price lists, that are fitted to that model. If you have a part you can match against an image of the part on this page, then tht will be correct, but if in doubt, or you do not have something to match up, we would generally recommend using the Parts by Diagram pages to identify the parts you require.
This is a third way of finding parts and can be really helpful in ordering the most common parts, such as Belts and Blades if you know the part number you require. It is also ideal for finding and ordering consumable items, such as Service Kits, PPE, Special Tools and Trimmer Line etc, etc, all of which, are not shown on machine parts drawings.
If by using the machine or engine details, you are unable to find the parts drawings for your machine on the site, please use the Contact Us button to send us the details of your machine and the parts you require and we will look them up for you. A photo of the id sticker on the machine will also be very helpful, thank you.
